OBITUARY
MRS SARAH O’CONNOR The death occurred yesterday of Mrs Sarah Ann O’Connor, of Hamilton, aged 78 years. 3orn in Blenheim, Mrs O’Connor was the dauphter of the late Mr Dennis Brougham a pioneer settler. She lived in Blenheim practically all her life, coming to Hamilton three years ago and residing with her daughter, Mrs G. Davies. Siie was married in the South Island and for many years her husband was farming in Marlborough. All her life Mrs O'Connor was a keen supporter of women’s societies and \xas a member of the Women’s Institute in the Flaxton district. Mrs O'Connor is survived by three sons and six daughters. They are Messrs William O'Connor (Tolaga Bay), Francis O'Connor (Wanganui)and Russell O'Connor (Hamilton), Mesdames P. Horgan (Blenheim), P. O'Connor, H. Mclsaac (Ward), C. O’Connor (Bay of Islands), P. Delahunty (Auckland) and G. Davies (Hamilton). There are 39 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. MR EBENEZER ALLAN PROMINENT HORTICULTURIST (Special to Times) PUKEKOHE, Tuesday The death occurred to-day at Buckland, Pukekohe, of Mr Ebenezer Allan, aged 76. He was one of the Dominion's leading horticulturists. He was president of the Pukekohe Horticultural Society In 1928 and 1929 Mr Allan was president of the Franklin Agricultural and Pastoral Society. He was chairman of the Pukekohe East Road Board prior to its inclusion in the Franklin County Council. He twice contested the Hauraki scat in Parliament, standing as a United candidate. He served for two years as president of the Pukekohe Chamber of Commerce. Mr Allan was well known in the Waikato and had judged at many shows in this district.
