EXPEDITION AT TAURANGA PUBLICITY FOR DOMINION <By Telegrapn.—Press Association) TAURANGA, Wednesday Two officials have been sent to Tauranga by the Minister in charge of Tourist and Publicity, to lend ail assistance possible to the Lerner scientific expedition (American) at Mayor Island. Yesterday a strong westerly wind prevented fishing, although it was fine. Advantage was taken by the expedition to complete “cine” pictures of the work of crating the plaster casts of fish previously caught. Captain Hatch, a member of the expedition, says that the best swordflshing in the world is at Mayor Island. The expedition was covering every angle of big game fishing, thus ensuring excellent publicity for the Dominion in the United States. The expedition returns to Tauranga on Saturday. The head of the expedition is Mr Michael Lerner, and Mrs Lerner is with the party.
