ANNUAL BALL
WHAKAMONGI CRICKET CLUB A happy evening was spent in the Ngarua hall recently on the occasion of the annual ball of the Whakahongi Cricket Club. The hall had been effectively decorated with greenery and multi-coloured streamers. Bright music was provided by Roy White and his Ambassadors’ Orchestra. and extras were played by Mr J. Knyvett. Balloon, streamer and confetti dances added to the gaiety of the evening. Novelty dances were won by Miss I. Shirley and Mr T. Ryan, and Mrs B. Wallace, and Mr G. Saxon. Mr M. Donovan was M.C. Among those present were: Mesdames R. White, H. A. Pikett, L. Donovan. E. Donovan Matamata.. C. E. Walker, R. Murphy; Misses N. Pennell 'Matamata;, R. Gifford, M. Perry, I. Shirley, G.
