BOY MURDERED
SEQUEL TO KIDNAPPING FATHER'S FRUITLEBB PLEA AN AMERICAN TRAGEDY (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) NEW YORK, May 29. The body of Peter Levine, 12-year-old son of a wealthy attorney, who was kidnapped In February last, has been found after a three-months’ hunt, says a message from New Rochelle. The body was found on the rocky seashore near the lad s home. The torso was trussed by wire, and the head, feet and one arm were missing. The father had made several fruitless attempts to make contact with the kidnappers in order to pay the 60,000 dollars ransom demanded. In response to the father's request, neither the local nor the federal authorities took any part in the case, In order to permit him to attempt to pay the ransom, and so obtain the boy's release. The father, in statements to the press and over the radio, pleaded with the kidnappers not to harm his son. He said the ransom was ready, and named an intermediary, urging the kidnappers to make contact with him immediately.
