Copjrr’.*n* LONDON, May 30 The Eari of Halsburv, K.C-, aged 57 years, has set up In business in Paris as a commission agent. Bankruptcy proceedings were recently instituted against him in London. When Lord Halsbury was interviewed by a special correspondent of the Daily Mail in Paris, he said:— "1 did not attend the bankruptcy proceedings in London because I did not know of them. I had no Idea that I had been adjudged bankrupt until just now. when 1 received a letter from a club advising me that I was no longer a member. "My business is arranging British and Continental contracts. I have secured 11 order? in six weeks, and I am confident that I will be able to repay my creditor? in full. "I propose to stay in business. As a lawyer for 30 years. I had enough of others' troubles. As a business man 1 will have a few of my own.”
