May 26 Mr William Brown, Labour leader, who was threatened with assassination in November, was found shot dead in a mot or-ear. Arnold Johnson, union organiser, has been arrested. It is alleged that he confessed to the slaying, which coincided with the abandonment of an investigation into the assassination of James Corcoran, on November 18, 1937.
