TYBALT AND VALMINT GOOD EFFORTS OVER A MILE ALL IRISH WORKS FREELY (By Telegraph—«rwi*i to Timm AUCKLAND. ThursdayChief features of track work at Ellerelle this morning were the efforts of Tybalt and Vaimlnt over a mile, while Land Girl and Kilonsa were responsible ror the best six furlongs. Several horses were schooled among them being Royal Mlmfß and Silk Sox. The course pro-per 50ft. out rrom the rails was available for fast work and as a result of recent rain the going was cutting out slightly. Knight or Australia (Tremain) was sent over a mile, being assisted over the first part by Wee Pat and over the last hairmlle by Bonnybelle. He ran the ruli distance in 1.50 2-5 and the final six furlongs In 1.24. Land Girl (P. Kearn) was going nicely beside Kilonea (McTavlsh) at the conclusion or six furlongs in 1.21. They ran the first three in 30 1-5 s and Land Girl gave an improved display. , Disturbed Over Five Disturbed f Gallagher) finished several lengths in rront or Electric fpear (P. Fearn) at the end or five rurlong* which took 1.8 1-5. Disturbed worked well. My Money (R. Fearn) completed a round In' 2.23. the last seven furlongs taking 1.45 2-5. Bronze Wing (Metcalf) was under restraint througnout six ruriongs m 1 20 4-5. Bright Idea (Buchanan) and Master Appellant ( Stokes) were allotted slm'lar work but were not timed. Palmlnt (P. Pearn) was going comfortably at the end or five furlong* In 1.16 4-5 and School Song 'Cammlrk) was in front of Summry < Gough) at the conclusion of six Turlongs which took 1.28 1-5. They were both going easily at the finish. Valmint’a Good mile Mai de Mer (Turker). arter beginning slowly, ran seven furlongs In 1.4 2 2-5, the la«t half-mile taking 56 1-s*. The Cornwall Handicap candidate. Vaimlnt ( Gilchrist) traversed a mile in 1.4« 2-5. He ran the first half in 52 3-5 s and was going nicely at the end. Ohmaha fJonesi, arter taking 40 2-5« for his first three furlongs, had a hit in reserve at the end of six furlongs run in 1.23 2-5. opeotu ( Butterworth) went with ohmaha for about three furlongs and was then ea«ed up. Tybalt (Gllchri«t) after running hi§ flr«t half-mile in 52 1-5«. reeled off a mile in 1.47 3-5. it was a good trial despite the ract that he carried a light weight. On the No. 3 grass Fleetwlnd (Gilchrist) ran home rrom the five ruriongs post in 1.0 3-5. Clarion Call was given strong work over a round in 1.53. the last hair-mile being covered In 58s. Meynall was al«o given useful work, taking 1.11 3-5 Tor his last five ruriongs. The Trimmer Gough' started off for schooling over four hurdles in the centre. Mimic (B. Smith), Windsor Lass (J. Muir) and Hiripa (Feasey) were associated over the steeplechase fences on the hat. finishing named.
