WEDDINGS

FARQUHAR —MORGAN The wedding took place at St.. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Claudelands, on the afternoon of Saturday, May 21, when Daisy, thii cl daughter of Mrs A. Morgan, of Hamilton, was married to Allan, second sod of Mrs A. C. Farquhar, of Te Puke. The Rev. H. G. Gilbert was the officiating minister and Mr E. H. Apthorp presided at the organ. The church had been beautifully arranged with autumn-tinted flowers and pink ribbons marking the pews. The bride, who entered the churJi with her brother, Mr H. Morgan, wore a graceful gown of pale pink chenilie embossed suede- The bodice, wnicb. was gauged at the front and finished at the back with a row of tiny buttons, was fashioned with long sleeves, very full at the shoulders and tight-fltting at the wrists, finishing in points over the hands. Her stand-up collar was finished at the neck with a spray of orange blossom and the skirt, tightj fitting at the waist, fell to form a cirI cular train. Her beautiful pink tulle veil fell from a pink halo, finished in front with silver flowers and leaves, to form a second train, and she carried a shower bouquet of pink and white cactus dahlias, pink rosebuds, asparagus and maidenhair fern.

She was attended by Miss Mavis Bogue and Miss Eileen Bogue as bridesmaids, while Betty Choat and Kelvin Spence were flower-girl and page-boy. The bridesmaids wore similar frocks of pale green satin beaute. The bodices, which were fashioned with Peter Pan collars finishing at the neck with a pink spray, were buttoned down the front and finished with puff sleeves covered with silk net frills. The fully flared skirts were finished with rows of matching frills at the hemline and they wore on their hair green pleated net halos with pink sprays in the front. They carried green satin muffs finished with matching pink sprays and silver leaves. The flower-girl wore a frock of white satin, the long skirt being frilled at the hemline and the bodice finished at the neck with frills. She wore a white pleated net halo and carried a white satin muff, both being finished with pink sprays and silver leaves. The page-boy, nephew of the bride, was wearing a white satin suit, the coat being finished in the front with navy braid.

Mr Owen Farquhar and Mr lan Farquhar, twin brothers of the bridegroom, were best man and groomsman respectively. Messrs John and James Ball were ushers at Hie church. After the ceremony a reception was held iu the Centrewav Rooms, which had been artistically arranged with pink and autumn-tinted flowers, while music was played during the reception by the Centreway Orchestra. The mother of the bride received the guests wearing a navy coat and hat

carried a posy or brown and goldtinted flowers, and maidenhair fern. Mrs Farquhar was wearing a brown coal and hat with matching accessories and she carried a posy of brown and gold-tinted flowers and maidenhair fern.

When Mr and Mrs A. Farquhar left by car for the wedding trip, the bride travelled wearing a smart navy pin-strip costume and navy halo hat, with navy and white accessories. They will make their home in Hamilton.
