General Smuts’ majority was 2000 votes. It is expected Senator C. F. Clarkson. Minister of Posts, and the only Natal member of ihe Cabinet, will resign. Mr P. G. W. Grobler, Minister of Native Affairs, did not seek reelection owing to ill-health. General Hertzog, with a clear majority of 73, will proceed to reconstruct Ills Cabinet.
