LEAGUE OF MOTHERS

PRESENTATION TO PREBIDKNT The Tokanui branch of the League of Mothers May meeting was attended by a large number of members and visitors. Members stood as a mark of respect to Mrs Jones, a bereaved member. Mrs Barnett made a presentation to Mrs F. Woolly, who is leaving the -district. Regret at losing the president was expressed by Mrs Cruickshank, who spoke of the League's appreciation of Mrs Barnett's work and asked her to accept a crystal bowl and a reading lamp. Mr Cavers gave an interesting address on his recent trip to Sydney to attend the Anzac Service. Mrs McCready entertained with a recitation and afternoon tea brought the meeting to a close.
