Copyright LONDON, May 17 “It was love at first, sight for Yehudi.” Thus Mr Harold Holt, Yehydi Menuhin’s agent, discussing to-day the young violinist’s engagement to Miss Nola Nicholas, of Melbourne. " 1 had my say, and the answer was ‘Yes',” Menuhin stated to an Interviewer. “ I have made no plans yet.” Miss Nicholas said she had not talked with Yehudi when she first saw him at a concert in Melbourne in 1935. Two years ago, however, she went to an Albert Hall concert, where they were, introduced, and their engagement was the sequel. Mr Holt said: “ The fact that Menuhin is a Jew and Miss Nicholas a Christian does not bother either family. Menuhin has never been orthodox, and has never been. inside a Synagogue. Jf Yehudi loved a Chinese or an Eskimo, it would be all fight with his father.” Menuhin’s father told the press that his daughters, Y’alta and Hepzibah, are also engaged. They will announce the names of their fiances at Yehudi’s weddinj.
