VALEDICTORY

ELBTOW FAREWELL (Special to Times.) TE AROHA, Saturday At the Elstow* School recently there was a large gathering of parents and friends to farewell Mr J. B. Hostick, the headmaster, and Mrs Hostick. The assistant teacher, Miss Hollis, organised a programme of folk dancing and plays by the school children. The chairman, Mr G. W. Horn, spoke in eulogistic terms of Mr Hostick’s work in the past eight years, and presented him with a chiming clock on behalf of the residents of the district. Mr Hostick suitably replied.
