OBITUARY
MRS MARGARET CHINQ (Special to Times) CAMBRIDGE. Saturday The death occurred at Cambridge yesterday of Mrs Margaret Ching, of Weld Street, aged 76 years. For 50 years Mrs Ching lived in Cambridge with her husband, the late Mr Thomas Richard Ching, who died in 1936. Mrs Ching was born at Stirlingshire, Scotland, and came to New Zealand on the Arawa over 50 years ago, arriving in Cambridge a few years later, where she was married. This was the' first marriage performed in the old Salvation Army Hall. Mrs Ching was a member of the Orange Lodge and was the oldest member of the Salvation Army in Cambridge. The late Mrs Ching is survived by two sons and three daughters. They are Messrs C. W. Ching and T. S*. Ching (Auckland) Mesdames S. Marsh, W. J. Halliday and Miss A. Ching (Cambridge). There are nine grandchildren. CAPTAIN W. S. HODGSON The death occurred in Auckland on Saturday of Captain William Stanley Hodgson, aged 56. formerly commander of the Shaw-Savill liner loftic.
