ENJOYABLE AFTERNOON

LADIES’ GUILD ENTERTAINED The Rev. S. J. Atkins entertained the members of First Church Ladies' Guild at a very pleasant social afternoon in First Church hall on Wednesday. A greatly-appreciated programme presented during the afternoon included songs and elocutionary items contributed by Miss V. Porter; songs, Mrs J. Woodward; instrumental items, Mrs McLachlan and Misses McLachlan; Scottish dance, Jean McLachlan. Competitions were won by Mrs J. Woodward and Miss M. Barlow. Those present included: Mesdames S. J. Atkins, W. Choat, C. Choat, V. Lachlan, A. McKenzie, F. Woods, J. Morrow, 0. Jones, G- Elliot, J. McCameron, A. Scrimgour, L. Takle, A. McLachlan, Page, J. Woodward. Misses A. Woods, M. Barlow, V. Porter, Y. McLachlan, J. McLachlan.
