MIRAOULOUB EBCAPE motor-cyclist and car Receiving only concussion and abrasions, an Auckland motor-cyclist, Mr Herbert Robrnson (30) escaped almost certain death when he was Involved in an accident on the Great South Road near Te Rapa late yesterday afternoon. Mr Robinson's machine -skidded and he was thrown to the roadway. A car immediately following was unable to avoid the fallen cycle, but missed Mr Robinson by inches. The injured man was taken to the Waikato Hospital in a St. John ambulance. His condition this morning was satisfactory. The motor-cycle wa-s severely damaged. WOMAN’B BODY RECOVERED DIFFICULT TASK OF POLICE (By Telegraph. —Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH. Thursday. After a hazardous descent with the aid of ropes and a winch by experienced climbers, a party of police today recovered the body of the woman which had been lying on the rocks near Sumner since Saturday, from the foot of a 300 feet cliff. The body is believed to be that of Mrs Nicholas, middle-aged, of Christchurch, who waa reported missing on Saturday. It was found Impossible to reach the body from the sea.
