ABSORPTION OF LABOUR.
PERSONNEL OF COMMITTEE (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday The personnel of the special departmental committee appointed by the Government to make a thorough survey of the industrial and economic position of the country, with a view to finding useful avenues of employment for able-bodied people now out of work, was announced io-night by ♦ he acting-Minister of Labour, the Hon. P. Webb. Several departments are represented on the eoinmittee, and their representatives are:—Housing: Mr J. A. Lee and Mr A. Tyndall; Education, Mr F. C. Renyard; Defence, Mr H. Turner and Colonel 0. H. Mead: Publio Works, Mr R. A. Patterson and Mr T. Barnicott; Railways, Mr E. Ca-sey; industries and Commerce, Mr F. Johnson; Labour Department, Industrial Division, Mr H. E. Moston; Employment Division, Mr A. J. Ridler.
