CAR STRIKES PEDESTRIAN.
(By Telegraph.—rress Association.) HASTINGS, Thursday. Mr Thomas Scanlon, an elderly man and an old resident of the town, stepped off the pavement in Heretaunga Street last evening and walked into a car driver by Mr A. S. Russell, of Havelock N >rth. Mr Scanlon was severely injured about the head and sent :-i hospital in a serious condition.
