VAN OVER BANK
DRIVER SERIOUSLY INJURED ACCIDENT ON TE AROHA ROAD MORRINSVILLE, Wednesday Serious injuries were suffered by Mr Herbert Gee, a butcher, of Puriri, when the light van which lie was driving ran over a bank off the Te ArohiMorrinsville main highway while he was on his way to Morrinsville this afternoon. Mr Gee suffered a fractured right thigh and head injuries, lie was attended by Dr. G. Craig and later taken to Hamilton where he was ad-„ initted to the Waikato Hospital. The van left the road just after crossing the Pinko Bridge and fell down a •steep bank, crashing into an ironbark pole. The cab of the vehicle was badly shattered, and the chassis was practically wrenched in two, wreckage being scattered around. There were two others in the cab at the time of the accident, Miss Edna Towler, of Patetonga, and Mrs Harold Gee, of Puriri. but both escaped with cuts and abrasions.
