Owing to an outbreak of smallpox in the Abyssinian refugees’ camps in Northern Kenya, terrified sufferers attempted to escape, but the police rounded them up. Doctors are preventing the spread of the disease to Kenya tribesmen. Privation is rife among the footsore Abyssinian®, who are roaming the northern frontier seeking food and water.
