Aug. 23 King Farouk of Egypt and his fiancee, Sasi Naz, the 16-year-old daughter of Youssouf Bey Zulflcar, a high Palace official, have been acquainted since childhood and their mothers are firm friends and arranged the match some time ago. The King formally proposed last night. The official betrothal ceremony will take place within a few days and the marriage will be solemnised. In 1938, when the bride will be 17.
