USE OF PORT OF LONDON. BIGGEST TONNAGE RECORDED. (Official Wireless.) RUGBY. August 21. The tonnage using the Port of London last year was the highest ever recorded, and the balance of revenue on the year’s working was £1,533,726, compared with £1,585,925 in the previous year. The annual report of the Port of London Authority for the year ended March 31, 1937, shows that the total net register tonnage of vessels using the port during the calendar year 193 G was 62,151,310. This compares with 59,762,150 tons in 1935 and 58,947,642 tons in 1934.
