The authority of the Dominion Government to disallow Alberta legislation is challenged in a telegram from Mr William Aberhnrt, Premier, to Mr W. L. Mackenzie King, Prime Minister, in which he states: — “ Deliberate violation of property and civil rights saddles you with responsibility for creating a scriou-s constitutional crisis.” Mr Aberhaft announces that a debt moratorium is ready for the Legislature aimed directly at the banks and financial institutions to prevent money being collected and sent out of the province.
