DELIGHTFUL DANCE.

YOUNG PEOPLE’S FUNCTION. VERY HAPPY EVENING. A very delightful dance was given by the Misses Audrey and Rosalie Seddon, at their home in Collingwood Street on Saturday evening, when they entertained a number of their friends. A very jolly and festive spirit preA'ailed and the evening was a singularly happy one. Spring shades had been used in the charming and most effective decorative scheme. Iceland poppies and golden Jonquils, artistically arranged In bowls about the rooms lending an appropriate note. Streamers in gold, green and ivory Avere overhead with gay clusters of balloons, and added further to the gaiety. Songs AA’hich were very greatly appreciated were given by Miss Rosalie Seddon, and Messrs K. L. Sandford and J. Battersby. A novelty dance was won toy Miss Jean Mason, of Auckland, and Mr G. Henderson, of Te Kawa. During the evening & delicious supper was served. The guests A\-ere received by Mrs R. S. R. Seddon wearing a frock of midnight blue silk velvet, Miss Audrey Seddon wearing bronze satin and chiffon, and Miss Rosalie Seddon, shell pink waterwave taffeta. Among those present were:—Mrs K. Armstrong. Misses Gail Burtenshaw, Margaret Macky (.Wellington), Audrey Black (Paengaroa), Beth Muir, Mollle Iggulden, Hessey Dey, Doris Downes, Hilda Short, Dorothy Chitty, Ruth* Carbon, June Redman, Alison Winter, Sydney Strang, Jean Wilson (Auckland), Joan Clephane (Wellington), Vivienne Clephane, Ruth Henderson (Te Kawa), Jean Mason (Auckland), Kitty Fulton, Jeannette Ward, Dorothea de Montalk (Auckland).
