SCHOOL QUEEN CARNIVAL.
SUCCESSFUL CONCERT. A very successful concoct, was staged hv Hip committee of Hip Citizens’ Qupon (Miss Quirk), recently at Te Aroha. The programme opened with the four Queens. Misses Bonnie Quirk, Jean Hepburn. Joan Clarke, and Marjorie Clark sealed on the stage. They were presented by four little girls Avitlf lovely bouquets, sol off with the respective colours that have denoted the queens throughout the campaign. The contributors in a highly enjoyable evening, were Mrs Myra Booth (Hamilton), Miss Rita McCullay (Auckland). Mrs .T. L. Oiler, Miss Phyllis Best. Messrs Alan McElwain, Reg Richard, Walter Richards, and the Waiuku Boys’ Mouth Organ Band. Mr F. 11. Vincent was Ihc announcer, and the accompaniments during the evening were played by Miss Joan Turner.
