VALEDICTORY.
MRS A. C. WHITELAW HONOURED. At the monthly meeting of the Te Awamutu Presbyterian Women’s Missionary Union there was an attendance of over 70 members and visitors, Mrs G. Hall presiding. As it would be the last meeting that Mrs A. C. Whitelaw, who had been the president for six and a-half years, Avould be attending before leaving Te Awamutu to make her home in Blenheim, Miss Mandeno, on behalf of the members, presented her Avith a handpainted bowl. Mrs W. Ross also presented her AAdth a pretty bouquet of spring flowers. Miss Mandeno expressed the great regret all members felt in losing a president Avho was held in high esteem and who had done wonderful Avork for Iho branch. In thanking the members for their gifts, Mrs Whitelaw said slio would lake away very happy memories of her association AA’ith the branch and would never forget the friendship aqd loyalty given her by all the members. In the programme for the afternoon, a Acrv interesting talk on her travels through parts of China was given by Mrs Webber, of Otorohanga. and pleasing solos were sung by Mrs N. Middlebrook.
