NGARUA CARD EVENING.

SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION. The Ngarua Hall Committee held another successful card evening in the local hall recently, this marking the conclusion of the second round in the ■SOO tournaments, of the highest aggregate scorers. There was a large attendance of visitors and local residents. The winners of the usual tournament were Mrs H. Pickett and Mr F. Greenville, while the winners of the aggregate prizes were Mrs A. Seed and Mr F. Greenville. After supper, served by the ladies, Mr W. Scott (president), thanked every body for their support and said that the aggregate prizes for the next round had already been donated. Mr P. W. Davis aa t qs in charge of the tournament.
