WEDDING.
MURRELL—SWANN. The marriage wag solemnised in the Catholic Church, Te Mata, on August 19, between Nora Christina, third daughter of Mrs and the late Mr Charles Swann, of "The Highlands,” Aotea and John, elder son of Mr and Mrs 11. Murrell, of Te Awamutu. The Rev. Father O’Flynn, of Te Awamutu, performed the ceremony. Friends of the bride had decorated the church very beautifully with Arum lilies, pink and mauve stocks, asparagus fern and violets. The bride, who was escorted by her brother, Mr M. Swann, looked very charming. She wore a lovely gown of ivory ohlffon velvet, the top of the bodice being shirred to the high neck-line, and the long full sleeves shirred at the xvrists. It was fashioned with close fitting skirt and she wore a beautifully embroidered veil, caught to the head with a halo of pleated tulle and orange blossoms, which fell over her frock and was lent by Mrs Onion, of Te Awamutu. She carried a bouquet of camellias, freezias, hyacinths and maidenhair fern. She was attended by her sister, Miss Lorna Swann, as bridesmaid, wearing a frock of mauve taffeta with organdie headdress. She carried a bouquet of mauve freezias, anemones and maidenhair fern. Mr A. Murrell was best man. Later a reception Avas held at “The Highlands,” Mrs Swann receiving the guests wearing a navy costume and hat and carrying a bouquet of pink flowering currant. Mrs Murrell, mother of the bridegroom, wore a brown ensemble and carried a bouquet of primroses. Mrs Raysh, of Palmerston North (grandmother of the bridegroom), wore a black ensemble and carried a bouquet of violets. The guests at the wedding breakfast were relatives and very intimate friends only. During the breakfast the Rev. Father O’Flynn presented the bride Avith a beautiful leather-bound Family Bible, donated by his Lordship Bishop Liston, for the first wedding in the Te Mata Catholic Church. When Mr and Mrs John Murrell left by car for the honeymoon, the bride travelled wearing a rust tunic suit with black accessories. They will make their home at Te Awamutu.
