Ed “ Strangler ” Lewis, former world's title-holder, was beaten by Earl MoCrendy, the Canadian and British Empire champion, in a professional wrestling bout in the Town Hall on Saturday evening. Lewis gained the first fall with a body press and. arm bar In the second round. Early in the next round McCready applied a flying tackle and lifted Lewis bodily Into a corner, where he slammed him heavily to the mat to even the falls with a body press.
