SUCCESSFUL AFTERNOON.
FOR CHURCH FUNDS. A pleasant apd successful afternoon ■was held on Tuesday at Mrs Bartlett’s residence in Dinsdale Road, aid of funds for St. James’ Church parlour. 1 Bright sunshine prevailed and considerably helped in the enjoyment of guests. Items were given by Mrs W. A. King, solo; Mrs HI. Beebe, elocution and solo; and competitions 'were won by Mrs King, Mrs Sylvester and Mrs Swinburne. The Rev. Hayman thanked Mrs Bartlett for the use of her home, and said as furnishings were still required this function was organised to help 6ame. Thanks are due to the following:— Mesdames Sylvester, A.
