TE AWAMUTU EVENING.
FIRE BRIGADE BALL. TWELFTH ANNUAL FUNCTION. There was a gay throng- at the twelfth annual ball of the To Awaniutu Volunteer Fire Brigade, held recently. Representatives of surrounding brigades were present and the function was a very happy one. Red and black were the predominating colours in the decorative scheme. Streamers were draped along the walls with helmets alternating. On the stage two hydrants had been most realistically placed, while at the further end of the hall Clarry Creswell’s Orchestra played excellent music.
