POPULAR GATHERING.

SUCCESSFUL DANCE. In connection with the school carnival at Te Aroha, the sports queen committee held a very successful dance on Monday evening. Modern and old-time dances proved again very popular, and were interspersed with novelties- Music was played by Mrs Glover's Orchestra. A spot waltz was won by Miss Hancock and Mr Chisholm, and other novelty dances were won by Miss M. Hepburn and Mr 13. Fitzgerald. Miss McConnochie and Mr Hitchens, and Miss B. Sutton and Mr G. Webb. Mr G Douglas was M.C.
