FALL FROM A LORRY. AUCKLAND, Wednesday. Mr John Edward York (24) fell from a moving lorry on his father’s farm. Kauri Bush. Onewhero, yesterday morning, lie suffered a fracture it the base of the skull and abrasions to his head and arms. He was brought in to the hospital, and his condition is fairly serious. EXPLOSION OF POWDER. TIMARU, Tuesday. William Rose (19) and William Gould ,19) were extensively burned about the face when a box of blasting powder exploded. While they were blasting trees, a spark from a cigarette fell into the box, which contained 14ib of explosive.
