THE BRADFORD MARKETS. BUSINESS AT A STANDSTILL. LONDON, August 16. Business on the Bradford market is at a standstill owing to holiday week. Tops and yarns are unchanged and firm. HIDES AND SKINS. THE AUCKLAND SALE. AUCKLAND, Wednesday. There was an easing in values for hides at the fortnightly sale of hides and skins held by Auckland brokers yesterday. Tanners and exporters operated fairly readily and. prices of skins and tallow were about unchanged. P/ices for best grades were:— Hides.—Ox (abattoirs), heavy, lOd per lb; medium. lOd; light, Bid to Bfd; ox (country butchers), heavy, BJd to 9d; medium, B£d to Sid; light, 8d to B£d; cow (abattoirs), heavy. Bsd; light to medium, S 3-Sd to 8 id; cow (country butchers), heavy, 7fd to 7 7-Bd.; light to medium, 8d to 8 l-8d; farmers (all weights), 6d to 7 3-8 d; yearlings (abattoirs), heavy, BJd to 9d; light to medium, 12d to 12£d; second grade, B£d to 10£d; faulty and cut. 6id to Sid; calfskins, 31b to 51b, 14id to 15d; 61b to 81b, 15d to 15Jd; seconds and cut, 12d to 12 Ad; slippy, s£d to ICUd. Salted Sheepskins.—Full wool, large, 10s 9d to 11 s 6d each; medium, 9s -id to 1 Os; half-wool, largo, 6s 9d to 8s 3d; light to medium, 5s 9d to 6s ■ 9d. Dry Sheepskins.—Three-quarter to 1 full-wool, medium to fine erossbred, , 15Jd to 16Jd per lb; damaged and faulty, 11 Jd to 13£d; half-wool, j medium to fine crossbred. 12Ad to 1 id; 1 damaged and faulty, Pid to 11 id; hare 1 to quarter-wool, sound, io4d to 11 id ; i damaged and. faulty, 7id to 9d.
