DODGED GATEKEEPER.
SEAMAN AT TEST MATCH. TUSSLE WITH CONSTABLE. "WELLINGTON, Monday. James Dunsmuir, a seaman, was charged before the magistrate, Mr. W. F. Stillwell, to-day, with obtaining admission to Athletic Park on Saturday without paying tiie 2s Gd admission fee and with obstructing a policeman. The constable saw him rush through the gate about 10 yards into tiie enclosure. He asked Dunsmuir for a ticket, knowing he hail not one as ho bad seen him refused admission. Accused made a rush into Hie crowd. The constable caught him whereupon Dunsmuir started to punch and kick. At the police station he said he had no money hut wanted to see the game. He admitted climbing ihe fence in the trrst place. On the tlrst charge lie was fined 15s in default three days’ imprisonment. and on flic second. i ,- » in default seven days’ imprisonment.
