Red Sun was out and appears slightly improved. The Jumpers Forest Glow and Tangled went once round over the steeplechase fences on tne course proper. They travelled at a sound pace and gave a llrstclass exhibition of jumping. Clarion Call was schooled over six hurdles. He looks in great order. An Attractive Display. Royal Llmond, .Noctumus and Macallpeln set out for a school over a round of fences. The first named pair kept together all the way and their exhibition was very atractlve as they cleared each fence fast and straight. Macailpeln, following them, did well till he reached the brush at the top or the straight where he blundered and lost his rider. Solwlt Jumped smartly over two hurdles. Blue Tiger and Primate went out to school over hurdles but the rornier came to grief at the first. Ids rider receiving a shaking. Primate subsequently jumped four flighti alone in good style while Blue Tiger weni over six only. He dipped on landing ovei the second to last obstacle. Giggleswick Jumped rour hurdles, nev cleverly over the first but giving a good showing ove rthe other three. Redoleni Followed over the same ground, giving a brilliant exhibition. Sunny Land wound up by going at a sound pace over Tour hurdles. This morning's arrivals rrom the north were John Charles, Sir Nigel. Royal Banquet, Bunilght and Settlement. Latest Scratching*. Manawatu was scratched for all engagements at 4.30 p.m. yesterday and Land Raid at 11.40 this morning.
