TO-DAY’S RECIPE.
APPLE JELLY CRUMBLES. Six tabelspoons self-raising flour and pinch of salt, 3 tablespoons butter, 2 tablespoons cornflour, i cup sugar, 1 beaten egg, essence to taste. Cream the butter and sugar, then add the beaten egg and essence. Beat well. Sift in flour and sugar and beat a few minutes. Put a small quantity, say a teaspoon, in very small patty pans t or gem irons. Bake in a mod- j erate oven. When cool, put j together with apple Jelly. Roll j in dry icing sugar.
