ORPHANS’ CLUB
LADIES’ NIGHT. A GOOD ATTENDANCE. There was an attendance of 243 members when ladies’ night was held by the Hamilton Orphans’ Club in the concert hall of the Waikato Winter Show on Saturday evening. The Guardian of the club, Mr. A. E. Sandford, was in the. chair. The visitors included Hie presidents of the Ohaupo, Cambridge, ami Papnkura Clubs. An apology was received from the president of the Rotorua Club. The chairman announced that the Cambridge Club would hold its ladies’ night on August 4. and that New Zealand Night won I i he held bv the Hamilton Club on August li- Mr. H. J. Baker would preside at the latter. Selections were contributed by the club’s orchestra under the eonduetorship of Mr. W. A. King. Songs we-e j given by Mrs. 11. McLean (Auckland). Messrs. K. H. Ouill. K. L. Sandford. Mrs. S. Rennet I . Mr. J. T. Rallersby, Mr. A. East brook (sketch' and Mr. O. Cheeseman. (piano-accordion). Mr. Ratlersby’s Male Glmir Messrs. K. I*. Eade E. 11.
