Copyright WASHINGTON, July 28. “An airship would have expedited the search in the Pacific for Mrs. Putnam and Mr. Noonan,” said Commander C. E. Rosendahl, of the Lakehurst air station, in urging the construction of two large airships by the United States. “An airship could have reached Howland Island, where Mrs. Putnam was last heard of, from Honolulu in 36 hours.’’ he added.
