ASSOCIATION’S OFFICERS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. The following officers were elected at the annual conference of the South African War Veterans’ Association:— President, Mr Ben Ellis (Dunedin); vice-presidents, Messrs J. V. Scott (Gisborne), H. M. Richardson (Blenheim), C». N. Cresswell (Christchurch), P. E. de Brandon (Wellington). R. N. Todd (Invercargill), A. E. Bertram (Auckland), A. H. Watt (Tauranga), and T. McWhirter (Taranaki) ; committee, Messrs J. J. Clark, R. H. Aldrich, R. Anderson (Wellington), A. J. Harper, A. C.. Johnstone (Hutt Valley), and E. Hogg (Levin); honorary auditor, Mr J. L. Arcus; honorary solicitor, the Hon. W. Perry; Dominion treasurer, Mr G. F. Bishop; representative on Re-establishment League, Mr J. J. Clark; representatives on New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association, Messrs J. I. Goldsmith and J. Cowdrey; secretary, Mr H J E Tilling. It was agreed that the next annual conference, to he held In Christchurch, should be held during the second week of July, 1938.
