YOUNG FARMER’S DEATH.

TERRIFIC EXPLOBION. FLAME IGNITES DETONATORS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TIMARU, Thursday. An Inquest into the death of Harry Plrihi Takahiwai (30), farmer, who died following an explosion at Takahiwai, was concluded to-day. The evidence -showed that a tin of detonators was placed near the back door of the place where deceased and another man were baching. Deceased, with a lighted brand in his hand, left the kitchen to light rubbish two chains away. Immediately he went to the door there was a tremendous explosion. It was considered that an ember of the brand dropped into the tin. The Coroner returned a verdict of accidental death.
