MATAMATA YARDINGB. Messrs Balgety and Company. Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly sale at Matamata yesterday, when only a moderate yarding of stock of all classes came forward. Only a medium bench of buyers operated. Prices realised were on a par with recent. quotations: Good quality fat shorn lambs made 23s 7d, woolly 25s 6d to 26s 6d; good quality fat heifers, £7 to £7 10s; ordinary fat Jersey cows, £5 10s to £5 19s. light £4 15s to £5 10s, unfinished £4 5s to £4 12s 6d; good store cows £3 15s to £4 ss, ordinary £3 5s to £3 15s; heavy boners, £3 to £3 10s; boners, £2 10s to £3; -store steers, £6 to £6 14s; potter bulls, £5 to £6 2s; yearling Polled Angus steers £5 12s. Shorthorn £4 14s to £4 16s; forward good quality Jersey springing heifers £7 10s to £8 15s, medium £7 to £7 10s. A light yarding of fat pigs came forward, with a medium yarding of stores. Prices were firm 'and in most cases were well In advance of previous quotations. No prime top weight baeoners were yarded.
