Writing In the Sun Mr. Jack Fingleton iinil's the Rugby Union Council to obtain a report, from the Australian conch, Mr. A. G. Wallace, on the position of recent contests against the Springboks and the. criticism of tho Springboks’ captain, Mr. P. J. Nel, raided from New Zealand. Mi*. Fingleton remarks that it is no secret that Wallace found the standard of the Australian plavers exceedingly low. lie had to start from the beginning in coaching several players. Mr. Neks comment on the Australians seemed to be amply Justified.
