FATHER MAYR SENTENCED. REGARDED AS A MARTYR. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright MUNICH, July 23. Father Mayr, who was recently arrested for defying the Nazi orders regarding the Church, was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment, but the Court immediately remitted the sentence. Father Mayr is regarded by the Catholics as a hero martyr. A large force of police was in Court to prevent demonstrations.
