SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION .

SIXTH CATHOLIC BALL. J ANNUAL HUNTLY EVENING. j The sixth annual Catholic ball was held on Thursday evening in the lluntly Town Hall, when there was a large attendance. 1 An attractive decorative scheme had been carried out in the hall, composed of festoons hung with floral circles, while along the walls bunches of peach blossom and roses were placed, among which was entwined trailing lycopodium. A background of trellis formed the stage decorations, with peach blossom and roses arranged at intervals. Along the front of the stage shamrock leaves were arranged in the centre of floral circles and looked most attractive. The Regent Dance Band from Hamilton played excellent music, and the M’s.C. were Messrs R. Dowd and K. Mortimer. The success of the function was largely due to the following committees, who had worked zealously for weeks prior to the event: —General committee: Fathers Bennett and Golumb,'Messrs J.
