WEDNESDAY TRAFFIC.

CONTROL ARRANGEMENTS. CO-OPERATION OF MOTORISTS. Arrangements have been made by tho traffic department of the Hamilton Borough Council for the eontrolling of traffie after the-SfH’ingboks’ match at Rugbv Park on Wednesday next, and the Chief Traffic Inspector, Mr W. E. Nicholson, appeals to motorists attending the mateh for their co-operation in obviating blockages. The arrangements made include the blocking off. after the mateh, of the streets entering Bryce Street, so that traffic will not be entering Victoria Street at the end of B**yce Street. Motorists returning home to the south of Hamilton are requested to go by Lake Road, past the two watertowers. Those travelling to the eastward are asked to go by No. 1 bridge. The use of these routes, it is hoped, will reduce the volume of traffie which will necessarily be using Victoria Street, said Mr Nicholson. “It is very necessary.” he went on, " that on the return journey from the ground oars do not. travel abreast, but remain in single file, even if a stoppage does occur. If the cars remain in single file, ar;y block can be much more expeditiously cleared than if they are running abreast.” All important, intersections will be manned bv traffic officials to promote an easy circulation of returning traffic.
