SCHOOL CARNIVAL.

FUNCTION FOR COUNTRY QUEEN. A dance held at the Waihou Hall In furtherance of the Country Queen's candidature in the School Carnival was largely attended. Music was provided by the Caledonian Orchestra, uid supper was served by the ladies’ ommittec, comprising Mesdames F. I. Hint, W. T. Dale, A. .1. Clarke, 11. navies. C. Mudgway, A. T. Nicol and Miss Clark. Competitions were won during the evening by Mrs Waddell, Mr G. Hunt, lan Ueask and R. E. Bell, i Mr C. Mudgway was M.C. ] Among those present were :—Mesdames G. Swney, D.
