SOCIAL EVENING. The combined ping-pong and 500 tournament, organised by the Sports Committee, was again a very successful and enjoyable evening, the pingpong being well patronised by the young people. A doubles tournamen. was won by Mr F. Boyd and Miss M Boyd (Gordonton). Mr A. E. McDonald and Mrs Fisher were the successful card players. Supper was served by the ladie« of the committee. LADIES' GUILD. A meeting of the Lad es’ Guild was held in the hall recently, when Mrs A. Goodwin (president) presided over a fair altendance of members. It was decided to hold a social afternoon on Thursday. August 12. and to invite the members of the Cambridge Church Guilds to be present. The new cover for the organ, mad*' by some of the members, was on view, and the members expressed their satisfaction. The secretary (Miss Tarr) was asked to write to the board of trustees thank ng them for their help and co-operation, and for the line concrete path, recently laid down by them at the church enLrance. Two new members, Mrs Willoughby, jnr., and Miss J. Scott, were welcomed.
