LAST MON'I’H’S RECORDING. WELL BELO\V AVERAGE. During May on the seven days on which rain fell, a total of only 1.71 inches was recorded, this being an exceptinnully light {all for ihis month, the avcrugu for which is Louius. For May of last year 3:93ius. of rain was registered, while {or lhe corresponding month in 1934 s.l9ins, fell. The total rainfall for the Ill'st five months of the current, year is 26.12 inches compared with 18.671 n. in 1983.
