ANGLICAN DANCE.

HAPPY WAITOA FUNCTION. There was a large attendance at the dance organised by the ladies’ committee of the Waitoa Anglican Church and held in the hall on Monday evening. Excellent music was provided by the Harmonica Band of Ngarua, and extras were played by Mrs J. Donovan. A novelty waltz was won by Miss Heather Klaus and partner, and the winners of the Statue Log Cabin dance were Miss F. Burge and partner. A broom waltz added to the enjoyment of the evening. A progressive five hundred tournament was held in conjunction with the dance, the successful players being Mrs E. Miles«and Mr A. Hill. Mr Chas E. White was in charge of the dance floor, and Mr G. Forbes was card M.C.
