WEDDING.
McCRACKEN—WILLS. The marriage was solemnised in St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Hawera, on the afternoon of May 12, between David George, elder son of Mr and Mrs D. J. McCracken, of Ongarue, and Barbara Louise, youngest daughter of the late Mr Wills and, of Mrs Wills, Ohura. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. G. Irvine. The bride, who entered the churcli with her brother, Mr Alec. Wills, looked charming. She wore a gown of heavy ice white satin beaute, cut or. slim fitting lines, falling in deep folds from the waist line to the floor in front, with an angelskin lace train attached from the waistline at the back. A veil of tulle, embroidered with wedding bells, was held in position with a tiara of orange blossom and she caiTied a sheaf of white.chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern.
The bridesmaid was Miss Roma McCracken, of Ongarue (sister of the bridegroom). She wore a frock of peach velvet with silver lame trimmings and a halo of silver lame trimmed with peach blossom. She carried a bouquet of pink tinted chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. The two little flower girls, Misses Barbara Lilburne of Tatu and Jean Peebles of New Plymouth, wore ankle length frocks of pale shaded peach crepe de chine. Mr Wilfrid Terry, of New Plymouth, was best man.
A reception was held after the ceremony at the Carlton Tearooms, Hawera, Mrs Wills receiving the guests.
